All funds requests must be approved by the membership at the monthly general meeting.  

 

Thank you for your interest in obtaining funds from MESC.  We hope our funds distribution can serve the community.  Please note the following information before applying to recieve funds.

 

Non-compliance of the following requirements may result in denial of a request:

 

1) Requests must be submitted on this form for consideration.

2) Requests will be made a minimum of 30 days before funds are needed.

3) In conjunction with this request, you must make a 10 minute presentation at our business meeting, at least 30 days prior to needing the funds.  We will notify your POC of your time slot on our agenda for this meeting.  Our business meeting is always held on the second Thursday of the month.  This presentation will consist of an explanation of your request, followed by a short question and answer period.  You will be notified in writing of our decision.  If your request is denied, a reason may or may not be given.

4) Due to IRS constraints, checks will not be written to individuals.  They must be written to an organization.

 

Please complete information as thoroughly as possible. Incomplete requests will not be considered. The more information you provide, the better we will be able to evaluate your request, so please be explicit.

 

Welfare funds are distributed to organizations based on their individual needs and the services to which they provide to the community. If funds are disbursed, accountability of funds usage must be presented to MESC within 15 days after the event.
